E-Barnabas and Barnabas Network     

E-BARNABAS: 

(1) As a resource for active Barnabas Ministry: E-Barnabas (Electronic Barnabas) consists of a broader, resource level of applied Barnabas Ministry through electronic, technological means. In Barnabas Ministry through the church, E-Barnabas allows ongoing accessibility to Barnabas leaders and resources for training and follow-up, supervision and consultation. Though the initial training is offered onsite, follow up is provided through face-to-face, electronic contact through equipment and resources provided by Barnabas Ministry to the local church and hooked up to the Barnabas Ministry Network. 

(2) As an online counseling and consultation service: This same technology allows expanded service capabilities by providing face to face Internet counseling and consultation services from a Barnabas perspective. Practically speaking this technology allows experts to be available to consult on a problematic church member case on a scheduled or 24 hour basis. This same capability also provides the capacity to provide a complete host of online counseling and consulting services as needed.

It must be pointed out that currently there are not the necessary professional ethical guidelines available to allow online counseling although general church consultation is allowable. When these guidelines are established then E-Barnabas will comply and seek to implement such online counseling as is ethically and clinically feasible.

BARNABAS NETWORK:

The Barnabas Network consists of a larger body of participating members and colleagues all of whom either provide services and/or collaborate at the systemic, technological level.  We are excited about new projects and technology partners working behind the scenes right now to bring about these very events of Electronic Barnabas Services in the near future.
