Barnabas for Business is an important component of the Barnabas Ministry Network that specializes in the unique and intensive needs of CEOs, leaders and their families. The Barnabas Ministry Network is a multi-faceted, system of services providing a diverse menu of people helping capabilities seeking to build and rebuild persons, systems and/or operations at the personal, familial, professional and working relationship levels so as to increase the blessing, efficiency, productivity and dignity of all those individuals involved.

Such businesses as IBM and AT&T utilize life coaching. Life coaching can be thought of as just what it sounds like: an expert coach helping a person achieve greater goals than can be attained alone. Certainly anyone who has participated in team sports is familiar with the idea and role of coaching. B4B approaches coaching expertise from the professional and strategic interactions of applied psychology, medicine, education, Judeo-Christian ethic, successful business management (specializing in working as CEO and with CEOs), skilled mediation and, of course, the respected people-helping perspective of Barnabas Ministry.

Life coaching is NOT psychotherapy and is not reimbursable by insurance companies who largely seek to limit and restrict resources and real help to obtain short term relief and diminished expense. It goes well beyond present day psychotherapy. Life coaching in general can be viewed as a combination of intensive, traditional psychotherapy (what it used to be and was meant to be), biblical spirituality devoid of psychological deception and mind games, and wise business consultation applied to specific life problems by highly trained and experienced professionals with success in these areas.

Whereas current psychotherapy has become so watered down, situationally specific, and, functionally, a type of blue collar emotional bandage, life coaching is able to approach a variety of problems - and an approach to life - from a much wider, deeper, freer and creative perspective. It is free to answer bigger life questions such as "where are you going to be when you get where you are going? And at what cost?" It is free to assist in life crises at home or work to the CEO-leader, his family and/or key personnel. Life coaching is also free to include any or all psychological approaches, testing, business strategies, etc. as needed but is not limited to any one of these areas alone. And it is also able to approach problems from a multi-dimensional, intensive and spiritual perspective.

2. Coaching to implement, clarify and insure recommended change to the primary individuals involved.

CRISIS MANAGEMENT consists of immediate intensive implementation of #1 above with quick follow up towards #2 above. Such SWAT TEAM efforts are usually conducted over a week-end visit with the individual(s) involved in order to assess the extent of the problem and to initiate an action plan. Such assessments may include medical, psychological or business components as deemed necessary.
